10.10.1932 заработал ДнепроГЭС. Главным консультантом проекта был полковник армии США Хью Купер. По итогам сторительства 6 американских консультантов (Ф. Фейфер, Ч. Томсон, В. Меффи, Х. Купер, Ф. Винтер, Г. Биндер) были награждены орденами Трудового Красного Знамени.
